2001 - The Effects of Lighting on Color Perception of Precious Metals and Precious Stones

$0.00

This paper will explain the crucial part played by proper lighting conditions on the effective matching of precious stones and precious metals in the workplace. It will review the types of lighting available and explain the effects various colors of lights have on the accurate perception of color - in both metals and gemstones. It will be extremely useful in helping you to develop the proper lighting environment for your workplace. I researched lighting during the development of my GemDialogue(TM) color manual and used this information with the color organization of the system, which allows us to match against over 60,000 colors. When I saw the precious metal color samples offered by MJSA, I felt the same principles applied and conducted a photographic experiment to illustrate them.
